Precision on the water. Clean style on land. This is the Key x Suay collab with Sean Silveira, aka Sliv.
Designed with pro wake surfer Sean Silveira — 6x Flowboarding World Champion, 4x Pro Wakesurf Tour winner, and the rider behind the Phase 5 Key pro model. The raised silicone patch is his smiley Key logo, pulled straight from the deck design.
This one is the White Drift with the Key patch in white. The patch runs in a range of colorways — each one its own limited drop.
Suay's 5-panel rope-brim trucker. Half-structured crown, flat brim with signature rope detail, mesh panels in the back.
The patent-pending silicone closure replaces the traditional plastic snap for a cleaner, more comfortable fit.
Limited edition. Rider designed. Locked in.

Yes the hat seems well designed and looks clean, but the advertisement is misleading at least to me. The black smoke color it's a really true dark black. In the advertisement and photos on website, it can look like a dark gray or "smoke"/graphite color. As an expensive hat I wish it was advertised more accuratly. I feel misled
Hear me out — I’ve got way too many Melin hats (more than one person should own!), so I know the premium performance headwear space pretty well. In a crowded field with Alter Ego, Branded Bills, Nostrand, and others, I’m always hunting for solid alternatives. Don’t get me wrong though — I’m still a huge Melin fan.
I kept seeing Suay ads on social and finally decided to try them. Grabbed the Drift and Apex, and they’re legit. The silicone snapback is a seriously underrated feature — way more comfortable than traditional plastic snaps. No pinching or headaches, and it fits great, especially if you have a bigger head that always falls in that awkward middle range on most straps.
The 88% polyester / 12% spandex blend feels premium, stretchy, and built to last. They’re water-resistant, breathable, and have held up really well so far. The Drift has that sharp, everyday look similar to the Melin Coronado, while the Apex is perfect for active use with that trucker vibe like the Melin Odysea. Nothing flashy — just really well-made hats.
If you’re into performance headwear, Suay is definitely worth checking out. Doing a deep dive on the brand; Jason and Libby clearly put a lot of thought and heart into these, and it shows. Gotta love a their bootstrap story!
According to my wife I make terrible choices all of the time. Buying this hat, was not one of those bad choices. Hatwas shipped and arrived very quickly. Looks sharp. Fits great. No hesitation to order from Suay again!
Hats are legit and worth every penny. Buy them and you won’t be disappointed
